USDA Farm Service Agency Emergency Loan Program
The storms of late January that impacted San Diego and southern California have resulted in a Presidential Major Disaster Declaration. As part of this declaration, the US Department of Agriculture has made the Farm Service Agency Emergency Loan Program available in San Diego county. The program provides emergency farm loans for both physical and crop production losses due to direct impacts of the disaster, up to a maximum of $500,000. Farmers and ranchers who conduct family-sized farming operations may apply, and if interested should contact their local Farm Service Agency to learn more.
